Job Description:
This role involves positioning and selling SML’s EPC/Turnkey solutions in the wind energy market, primarily to key accounts such as Independent Power Producers (IPPs) and OEMs. The candidate will act as the primary lead for customer account activities, from enquiry generation to contract closures, while coordinating internally and externally to deliver competitive EPC proposals. The role also includes responsibility for vendor negotiations, RFP management, project handover, and providing regular market intelligence to leadership.
Key Skills / Qualifications :
- 5 to 10 years of Sales and Business Development experience, preferably in the Wind Industry with Wind Turbine OEMs.
- Strong ability to build and maintain client relationships across IPPs/OEMs.
- Proven negotiation and contract closure skills.
- Experience coordinating with internal teams and external sub-vendor partners for EPC proposal development.
- Understanding of technical and commercial requirements in wind EPC solutions.
- Ability to provide timely market intelligence and align sales strategies with business goals.
- Strong communication, presentation, and organizational skills.
Roles & Responsibilities :
- Positioning and selling of SML’s EPC/Turnkey solutions in the wind energy market to key accounts (IPPs/OEMs).
- Act as primary lead on all customer account activities including enquiry generation, scope discussions, order negotiation, and contract closures.
- Coordinate internally within SML departments and externally with sub-vendor partners to gather cost and scope inputs for EPC proposals.
- Negotiate and close sub-vendor/partner contracts.
- Provide regular inputs to SML leadership on market intelligence and project pipelines of IPPs/OEMs to align order projections.
- Adhere to the sales process, ensuring solutions presented support the best Levelized Cost of Energy (LCOE) possible for the customer.
- Lead and facilitate all technical Request for Proposal (RFP) activity and deliverables, ensuring on-time responses and compliance with customer requirements.
- Assume responsibility for the internal handover of signed projects to the Project Management organization after finalization of customer agreements.
- Manage interfaces between EPC operations, crane teams, and customers during the EPC execution phase.
- Report directly to the Head of Sales – Cranes and Wind EPC.
